Testosterone’s impact on baldness has been suspected for centuries. Hippocrates was the first to document suspicions after noticing that eunuchs didn’t lose their hair as they aged. Propecia was the first medication to act on this principle, inhibiting the hormone DHT. DHT has a key role in developing the male infant. With age, it begins to cause trouble, often causing prostate enlargement, acne and androgenetic hair loss. Finasteride began as a 5mg tablet taken to treat benign prostate enlargement. Men who were using it had the fortunate side effect of an improvement in their hair loss. A lower dose of 1mg was tested in the nineties in the hope its efficacy for hair loss could be demonstrated. They produced remarkable results, halting and often reversing hair loss. Unlike treatments that came before it, it continued producing result after five years in nine out of ten patients. Adverse effects were seldom experienced and 1mg was as effective as 5mg. For some, even a Propecia quarter pill is enough to be effective. Propecia overdose hasn’t been observed or studied, although there are some changes in efficacy at different doses.

Can You Overdose Propecia
In trials, dosages lower than 1mg were less efficient and higher doses showed no improvement on the 1mg dose. The body doesn’t adapt to it either, so dose increases aren’t needed over time. To adequately answer the question “can you overdose Propecia in higher dosages” would need to be studied and perhaps a Propecia questionnaire would need to be distributed. There would, at least, need to be information gathered anecdotally from consumers using it. However, there simply aren’t enough cases of Propecia overdose to provide an answer.
PossiblePropecia Overdose Symptoms
Propecia overdose has been observed in animal trials during which doses of 1000mg were given. Human trials were conducted in which patients were given a five times higher Propecia order dose of finasteride. Prostate cancer was noted in 18.4% of the finasteride group as opposed to 5.1% in the control group. Propecia overdose symptoms were absent in another human trial which tested the drug in 400mg daily doses.
